Since 1949

General Machinery Company, Inc. was incorporated in Sheboygan, Wisconsin by David Horwitz and followed by Frank Horwitz becoming a partner

1950s

Bread and bun slicing equipment first introduced, revolutionizing commercial baking efficiency


Frank Horwitz’s son Robert Horwitz joined the company 

1960s

Evolution of Hydraulic Frozen Meat Block Flakers and Chipper equipment


David Horwitz’s son Michael Horwitz joined the company

1970s

Fresh Meat Cubers and Conveyors were developed to streamline meat processing


David Horwitz and Frank Horwitz retired


Robert Horwitz was named President and Michael Horwitz was named Secretary & Treasurer

1980s

Cheese Block Cutters and Meat Tenderizers were invented to improve processing efficiency- delivering uniform cheese portions and enhanced meat texture

1990s

Pneumatic and Gravity-Fed Frozen Meat Block Flakers were designed to efficiently process frozen meat into uniform flakes

2000s

Michael Horwitz was named President


The Meat Flattener and Schnitzel Press were introduced to streamline the preparation

2010s

PLC-Controlled Cheese Block Cutters were engineered to automate cutting, enhance efficiency for various block sizes in cheese processing

2020s

After many successful years of working together, 5 Point Fabrication, LLC purchased General Machinery Company, Inc. from Michael Horwitz. This change brought the two companies together under one roof, combining new innovations and sharing the same beliefs.


Name change to GenMac
